Conn 70H Bass Trombone, Vintage Elkhart Made in 1940.  Has serial number 330,XXX.  Has classic 9.5" Yellow brass bell, with tuning in handslide.  This is a fantastic playing vintage horn.  Is the type that George Roberts played on for many years.  Once you play on it, you know why.  Gorgeous dark sound that gets lively when desired.  Ideal bass for anyone looking for a single valve- is perfect for big band and just about anything else that you play- pit orchestra double ideal.  The original leadpipe was Remington taper.  This slide has had the leadipe pulled and has a modern Morse taper- you can use any modern mouthpiece on it- a Bach 1 1/2 G works perfectly.  This horn has not had any damage or major repairs, just normal use and maintained well.  Valve is great, handslide is super straight, no major defects, it's still a great slide. Original lacquer is mostly gone, but still has a very classic look and is original. Original case in perfect condition.  If you have been thinking about adding a single bass to your current lineup, don't let this one get away, will not depreciate over time.  In stock for immediate delivery.
