Conn 6H from 1953, Vintage Elkhart. Without question, this is the cleaneast 6H that we have ever had from the early 50's. All original parts, case, mouthpiece. Slide is amazingly straight and smooth. Bell, tuning slide and neckpipe all in excellent condition. Non-orginal counterweight, but a match to the 50's models. This is an amazing playing 6H and would be ideal for an high level or pro-player/collector. Bell seems to be more weighty and has denser sound, projection is far superior to those of the mid-late 60's. Sound has lot's of color and tonal flexibility. Would be an excellent choice for a soloist/jazz improviser or lead player. These are becoming increasingly more rare as time passes.
