Conn 40H, Ballroom Model. Excellent condition/playing .500 Bore, with Tuning In Slide T.I.S. This one is from 1928, without question one of the cleanest ones we have seen. Freshly cleaned and serviced. No signs of previous damage or repair. Slide is very good and has no issues. No need to worry about chrome loss on the inners, they didn't use it back then. Will lubricate well with traditional superslick or ponds cold cream type, also works just fine with Yamha liquid lubricant. Has deceptive small look but big sound. Will take standard small shank modern mouthpiece no problem. We tested out on a Bach 7C, plays great. Has strong presence of sound, easy intonation, especially in the upper range. Would be a seriously great trad jazz horn, or for legit player needing an occasional small bore. Would also make a seriously great marching trombone for section leader- sound will cut like a laser- much more so than any thing modern today. Original silver/gold plating, stunning appearance. Orginal case included.
