Super Rare Buffet Crampon, made in Paris France, most likely in the 1960's, is an "Artist" model. Has 8" Yellow Brass Medium/Heavy weight bell with nickel silver decorative ring on outer bell.  Similar in size to Bach 36, Conn, 78H, but slightly less and more powerful. This trombone has many features that are impressive. First, slide lock hidden in the upper barrel. Beautiful engraving, with nickel tone ring. Lacquer is very impressive. Hand slide is perfect. It's neither too heavy or light. Has removable press fit long sterling silver leadpipe- way ahead of it's time.  Sterling silver leadpipes alone sell for $300 today.  Plays crystal clear in the upper range for a horn this size. Can sizzle when needed yet still keep warmth and darkness in low range. This could be the ideal mid-bore jazz set-up or pops style symphonic trombone, takes small shank mouthpiece- a Bach 6 1/2AL or 5G work perfectly. The case is also impressive, very similar in style to a King coffin, super clean, protective, excellent look and style. This is the first one of these that we have seen and are impressed.
