Besson New Standard Compensating Euphonium SN 578666. Made in England, approx 1976. This was the original Compensating model by Besson. Is in perfect playing condition, pads, felts, tuning slides all working proper. No plating wear on valves or any red rot. Mouthpipe is for large shank trombone/euph mouthpiece. Has had a custom MTS main tuning slide trigger installed in Germany by Meinl-Weston, which really works amazing for pitch corrections, also an excellent design. Would be an amazing first Pro Level Euphonium for any advancing player, as it was for the previous professional player who used this during and after college years. Case included is a Protec padded gig back with Back straps. Besson Compensating Euphoniums today sell new in the 10K range. This horn has the same sound and plays 100% proper, even better with the added MTS trigger. Will not dissapoint at our price.
