Benge Freelance Model #170. Made in the 1980’s. Has 7.75" gold brass bell and .500 bore lightweight slide with trumpet style water key. Is a very good playing small bore. Ideal for lead/jazz. Bell weight is similar to King 2B/3B from 1970's-80's. Benge is no longer around, but their Instruments are well known for quality and workmanship. Materials are similar to King/Conn, produced in the same factories. This particular horn is in overall good shape and does not require service to improve its playability. Has had full shop service, including chemical bath. No dents or dings, original lacquer. A few freckled spots on outer bell, sort of gives the look character. Handslide is super light, and totally straight, has superior alignment and will not disappoint. Would be an excellent jazz horn for a high school or college player in need small bore jazz horn. Includes a new MTS hard shell lightweight case. In-stock for immediate delivery.
