Bach 50GB3O LT Bass Trombone 1990's make with earlier slide, Serial # is 38,XXX most likely from 1978. Bass Trombone players know that Gold Brass Bach Bells from this era are the best. Sure, it would have been nice if it were made 20 years earlier and was stamped "Corporation", or even better, made before 1963 and stamped Mount Vernon, NY. But, this one is not, however, is very close, especially in how it plays. Has standard Bb/F/Gb/D independent tuning. Bell diameter is 9.5", standard open wrap rotors, and lightweight nickel slide with a removable leadpipe. There is something about a gold brass bell along with nickel slides that just works great, for example, take a look at the Chicago Symphony guys. But, this horn isn't just limited to orchestra use. It's a great bass for everything. It plays with lots of color and is very easy to handle. The bell section is unlacqured, but all original lacquer on the rest of the horn, including valve section tuning slides and handslide. This bass is clean and ready as is, but we will give it a once over and polishing prior to delivery. Original case in very good condition. A new Bach 50B3O starts out today at over $5100.
