This Bach 42 or 42B standard weight handslide was manufactured in the early 1980s (serial number 48858) and is in very good condition. It has received full professional shop service, including alignment and chemical cleaning. There are no dents, dings, or signs of previous damage.
The slide features all original parts and lacquer, with no inner slide tube plating loss and no signs of red rot—something that’s becoming harder to find in slides of this vintage. The action is smooth, responsive, and ready to play.
