Bach 36GH Dual Bore .525-.547 Super Nice SN 41791 Made approximately 1979.  This is the first H model that we have seen here at the Brass Exchange, nearly 15 years of trombone sales.  The 8" Gold brass bell is stamped 36GH.  It is a medium weight 36 Bell, no different than standard models.  The handslide is the difference.  Is dual bore, .525 on the top, takes small shank mouthpiece, and is .547 on the bottom.  The back of the handslide is stamped model 42.  But, the slide is the same width as a model 36.  This is a super rare model.  Is in perfect condition, has not been played on much.  No dents or dings, no prior damage.  I did a full slide set up prior to play testing.  The slide is fantastic.  I don't say this very often.  I could not put it down once I got started playing.  It works great with a 6 1/2 AL, and also a 5G or 5GS Small Shank. Any Morse taper small shank will work fine, but I think the horn favors a slightly large cup and back bore to all more air flow for maximum resonance.  It comes alive when played proper.  This would be a great straight small big horn for orchestra.  I think a great Bolero horn. Would also be an amazing medium size jazz horn, especially small group, jazz improv.  It is hard to over blow this horn.  The sound stays dark and beautiful even a louder dynamics.  Price does not include a case.  Will ship without case.  A new 36G today sells in the $3400 range, but honestly this model for 1979 is a much better build, better materials, and has a richer sound.  Will not disappoint.
