Bach 36 Straight Tenor. Super rare pre WWII Vintage 1939. Made at the New York factory, long before the move to Mt. Vernon. This is the real thing. All original parts and lacquer. Is the classic 8" yellow brass bell with standard weight .525 slide. The slide is less width than the later models, is more similar in width to Conn 88 slides. Has had full shop service including chemical bath. One spot on the bell flare close to the rim was worn almost through, we droped a little bead of solder to correct it. Overall the horn plays fantastic. All of the richness that you would expect in a vintage bach, dark gorgeous velvety overtones. Perfect for some orchestra play and also ideal for Jazz guys looking for a bigger sound. Works great with a 6.5 AL, but also ok with slightly smaller or larger. No service needs to improve slide or playabilty. This is both a player and a collectible. Case is non-original, later Bach case, in fair condition. The horn has never been seriously damaged and is super straight. No dents or dings. Will not dissapoint. In-stock for immediate delivery.
