Bach 36 from 1950's, Made at the Mount Vernon New York factory. Through friends that new Vincent Bach during this time period, we have learned that Mr. Bach always felt that the model 36 was really the ideal tenor trombone size- 8" Bell with .525 bore hand slide. Truly a versatile instrument to play just about any style, except modern day classical professional orchestra, where the .547 bore has become the standard. However, many pro orchestra players recognize the 36 model as a viable option for some works- especially pops, and big band style. Today, many high level jazz players are using .525 bore as their daily driver. This 36 model would fit for those guys. This particular horn is in fact single owner. It has seen quite a bit of use over the years and has considerable signs of wear, yet still and amazing player. All original parts, and original lacquer. Orginal slide tubes, and leadpipe. The slide is very good despite 3-4 dings on the upper inner slide tube around 2-3 position. Attempting to remove these dents will likely sacrifice the original leadpipe. We choose to leave it as is. Overall, the original lacquer shows distress.
