Every once in a while an amazing Time Capsule vintage horn surfaces. This late 1950's Vintage Mount Vernon Bach 16 came to us recently from the original owner who telephoned in, said he hadn't played it in over 40 years. It had been kept protected in an original canvas case cover (which will ship with the horn upon request). The case is in amazing condition. Has alligator leather trim. Every stitch is in place. This dual bore .495/509 is one of the most popular commercial and jazz horns of all time. It takes on a life like quality when played properly. The tones are rich and dark- lush like creamy finish. Small amounts of acid bleed around the rim- no big deal. Serious Bach Players know that horns like this do not come around often. This could be the find of a lifetime for the right player.
